“Even if the wife disagrees,” he said.

Luke’s dogs, an American Staffy and a white German Shepherd, are also very much part of his family.

“Dogs rule, cats drool,” he said.

While filming Survivor on Samoa, Luke said he tried not to think about his family back in Baldivis.

“I tried to keep my head in the game,” he said.

“Not hearing from them was a good sign because I knew they were well.”

Luke has lived in Baldivis for more than 20 years.

“I have lived south of Perth for most my life,” he said.

“WA has the best coast line, the beaches change every few kilometres to suit what type of day you would like to have.”
