Ms Lester’s novel A Kiss From Mr Fitzgerald tells the story of a young woman ahead of her time amid the Jazz Age glamour of New York.

Johns is now an international best-selling author, with more than eight novels to her name.

Her next contemporary fiction novel The Art of Keeping Secrets is due out in October.
