Succession planning all in the family at the Pink Duck

Mark Pink said he did not have a definite succession plan for the Pink Duck Bar and Bistro, but family members were voluntarily stepping up to the plate.

His oldest daughter, Courtney, is the bar manager and is studying a Certificate 4 in hospitality and tourism.

His second oldest daughter, Teisha, works in the bar and kitchen and would like to pursue a career in tourism.

Son Lockie is the DJ on Saturday nights and even Jord (13) helps out.

Mr Pink said his wife Adele was becoming more involved in the business.

“We’ve found the business runs better the more family are involved,” he said.

He said the Pink Duck staff were great and had become like part of the family.

The Pink family has run the Pink Duck for seven years.
