Baldivis Lions Club President Simon Heales said Wagin Lions had registered after securing a major sponsor: Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association.

“They were the first club to register and we are hoping to secure more sponsors,” he said.

“We have about three or four major sponsors now and still welcome more but now we are keen for more players.”

Featuring a shotgun start (all groups of players tee off simultaneously from different holes) on the day there are also still chances left to sponsor one of the 18 holes.

He said all the money raised from the event will be given back to the community.
