ROCKINGHAM Detectives have charged a 16-year-old boy following a police chase in the South Metropolitan District yesterday afternoon.
It is alleged officers attempted to stop a red Holden Commodore on Lakes Road, Seville Grove at about 4.30pm, however the driver failed to stop for police.
The Commodore was found by Polair 61 a short time later driving on Parkin Street, Rockingham and was tracked through Rockingham, Kwinana, Wellard, Baldivis, Hopelands, Mundijong, Serpentine, North Dandalup, Pinjarra, Coolup and Waroona.

Waroona Police successfully deployed a stinger on South West Highway, however police claim the vehicle continued at excessive speed. The Commodore eventually pulled over and the driver allegedly climbed over a barbed wire fence before running through a paddock.
The Police Airwing pilot landed the helicopter in the paddock where the tactical flight officer exited and arrested the boy nearby.
A 16-year-ld boy has been charged with two counts of reckless driving, two counts of no authority to drive (never held), two counts of failing to stop, possessing an unlicensed firearm/ammunition, breach of bail and stealing a motor vehicle.
He was due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court today.
