The City of Kwinana has lots planned for Australia Day celebrations

Victoria RificiWeekend Kwinana Courier

KWINANA families will stay cool amongst the trees at the Kwinana Adventure Park this Australia Day.

The City’s Australia Day event will take place under the sun but there will be access to water slides and locals should also expect a visit from native Australian animals.

There will be a DJ on hand and Kwinana Rotary will be cooking up a free barbecue breakfast for the crowd from 8.30am.

Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said at least 1000 people are expected to attend the event.

They include 48 residents who would be sworn in as Australian citizens.

“This year we are excited to hold our community awards and citizenship ceremony amongst the trees at the Kwinana Adventure Park – recently named Australia’s Best Park,” she said.

“This is the ideal location for families to enjoy a relaxing morning while children keep cool in the Splash Pad and waterslides.”

The citizenship ceremony will start at 9.30am.
