THE Well Tavern opened in Wellard this week.
Wellard Residents Association president Matt Rowse cut the ribbon with proprietor Kevin Hughes, while staff and patrons looked on.
Councillor Rowse said the community had waited a long time for the venue.

READ NOW“It will certainly become a social hub and add some life into the community,” Cr Rowse said.
Mr Hughes said the enthusiasm that the community had shown for the project was overwhelming.

“Many of the residents had been watching eagerly from the moment the slab was poured,” he said.
“We are marketing ourselves as a community minded and a family friendly place, and that’s what our supporters are wanting.”
