Two die after power outage

Staff ReporterWeekend Kwinana Courier

Kyle Scolari was found dead along with his housemate Conor Murphy at their home, about 7.30am on Monday, following a severe storm.

It is believed power failure affected the electronic medical equipment they relied upon.

Mr Scolari had featured in the Courier over the past few years, most recently after he was selected for the Australian powerchair team. Both men had muscular dystrophy.

Mr Scolari used a wheelchair from the age of 11 and enjoyed the rough sport of powerchair ” a relatively new wheelchair sport mixing bumper-to-bumper collisions with soccer.
