Danielah Summerfield and Caitlin Taylforth won a Samsung Galaxy tablet as a prize and will now go into the running to take out the main prize.

The Super Kids competition recognises children aged six to 12 who have demonstrated their inner super hero strengths and capabilities, and honours children whose super hero qualities have helped them to make a difference in their community by doing good.

Danielah won the Super Kid award for being a strong role model. She is committed to more than 10 hours a week to gymnastics while striving to deliver strong grades at school.

“Since Danielah was six, she has donated her hair to children with alopecia,” she said.

Caitlin won the Super Kid Doing Good award for her willingness to help others in need. In December she was a relentless campaigner for the Rockingham Christmas appeal, collecting food and gifts from her family, friends and school community.

Caitlin’s mum Katie, who nominated her for the award, says Caitlin always looks to do something to help others who have less than her. “After the devastating Yarloop fires, Caitlin didn’t think twice about donating her own toys and clothes to fire victims.”Danielah Summerfield.
