Variety WA chief executive Michael Pailthorpe said he was delighted at the way the Creative Car Cruise had developed and continued to attract participants.

‘Over the past three events, we’ve had a range of different car makes and models participate from 1930s hotrods, Rolls- Royces and Cadillacs to Aussie icons like the GT and Monaro,’ he said.

‘It’s been fantastic to see so many car lovers banding together to take up the fundraising challenge and wave the Variety flag for WA kids in need.

‘In 2013, the Variety Creative Car Cruise raised over $135,000, which is a result we are really proud of, and we’ve topped that this year.

‘We also give participants the opportunity to meet some of the kids we assist along the way, which is the greatest reward of all.’

Participants in the annual challenge for Variety The Children’s Charity were asked to commit to raising a minimum donation of $4000 a vehicle.
