Waikiki man (37) charged with Spud Shed robbery

A 37-year-old Waikiki man was charged with armed robbery on Tuesday after an incident at Spud Shed Baldivis on Monday.

About 8am, staff observed the man putting items into his bag in the store.

When a staff member confronted him while he was trying to leave the store, the man allegedly drew a knife and threatened them.

He fled the scene in a black hatchback.

Appearing in Rockingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Christopher Holcombe made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until September 7, when he will appear at Stirling Gardens to face the charge.
