Waikiki man (40) has car impounded after allegedly travelling 60km/h over speed limit in Baldivis

POLICE claim a 40-year-old Waikiki man was driving 60km/h over the speed limit in Baldivis yesterday.

Traffic Enforcement Group Team 2 officers were conducting patrols in the south metropolitan district.

About 5.40pm, the officers detected a Holden Commodore ute travelling at an alleged 130km/h in a 70km/h zone on Kulija Road near Baldivis Road.

Travelling 45km/h or above the posted speed limit constitutes a reckless driving offence under the Road Traffic Act.

The driver from Waikiki will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
