POLICE have charged one man and are on the hunt for another following an assault at a Rockingham bus stop on August 25 at 10.45pm.

Two men had a conversation with the 30-year-old victim at the bus stop on Contest Parade.

The first man allegedly assaulted the victim before being arrested by nearby Public Transit Authority officers.

The second man grabbed the victim around the neck and also assaulted him, causing him to fall to the floor and hit his head on the concrete.

This knocked him unconscious for a few minutes until an ambulance arrived.

The first male was arrested and charged on the night and will appear in court at a later date.

Police want to talk to the second male (pictured) – who is described as fair skinned, approximately 180cm tall with brown hair and a slim build.

He was wearing a black singlet, black hat, brown pants and black shoes.
