WARNBRO Centre and the Salvation Army have joined forces to gather goods for people less fortunate this Winter.
Customers have made the most of the donation point at Warnbro Centre to pass on pre-loved clothing which has been collected by the Salvation Army Rockingham Branch, and will be distributed to the wider community.
Warnbro Centre marketing manager Taryn Macdonald said the centre had been overwhelmed by the generosity of the community, coming together to leave donations for the Salvos to pass on to people who may need a helping hand this Winter.
“We know our customers are always willing to help but it’s often hard to find the time to donate,” she said.
“We wanted to make it easy for people to drop in and drop off their pre-loved clothing, which is why we coordinated with the Salvation Army for this event.
“People were able to donate while they did their regular shop.”
This was the first time Warnbro Centre and The Salvation Army have run an event like this, but the success of this year’s effort means the donation drive is likely to be organised again.
For customers who would still like to donate, they can contact The Salvation Army Rockingham Branch on 9527 3460.
