Warnbro hit and run: 35yo man charged over accident

A WARNBRO man has been charged with a hit and run incident that left a motorcycle rider with serious injuries.

The 35-year-old man was arrested after an extensive investigation by Traffic Enforcement Group officers.

Police said a Ford Festiva was travelling south on Warnbro Sound Avenue about 6.45pm on Friday July 29.

It will be alleged the vehicle turned into Okehampton Road and crashed into a Honda motorcycle.

The 48-year-old male rider of the motorcycle received serious injuries and was taken to RoyalPerth Hospital.

Police claim the driver of the Festiva failed to stop and continued driving.

The 35-year-old Warnbro man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm, failing to stop, failing to provide assistance, failing to report an incident, driving an unlicensed vehicle and failing to give driver information.

He has been summonsed to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on September 13.
