Warning after pet found shot


Tasha, a three-year-old german shepherd mastiff cross, was found by her owner early on Wednesday morning covered in blood. She was rushed to a Baldivis vet where an X-ray showed that her body was riddled with over 40 lead pellets.

A distraught owner had woken and found that her dog had apparently been shot.

The incident is thought to have occurred on January 5.

She is recovering well but may lose an eye. It is unclear how Tasha escaped from her owner’s rural property

The RSPCA is warning residents in the area to be vigilant with their animals.
