ROCKINGHAM woman Nicole Celestine is one of the first Australians to receive a Future Leaders scholarship from the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation.

The scholarship will support her work in job design and the implications for wellbeing.

Now studying at the University of Western Australia, Nicole said being recognised as one of the first cohort of scholars provided a great opportunity to open doors to career opportunities.

The Westpac Bicentennial Foundation helps to support individuals with the drive and imagination to shape the future of Australia by awarding 100 scholarships a year.

Chief executive Susan Bannigan said the Foundation was partnering with leading Australian universities to support Australians exploring new initiatives that are focused on technology and innovation, strengthening Australia-Asia ties and effecting positive social change.
