Winter creative festival at Kent Street Deli

Winter creative festival at Kent Street Deli

BUILDING on the success of their first ‘Winter Creative Festival’ last year, Kent Street Deli’s Brooke Whitmore has teamed up with like-minded others to do it again.

Citing winter as a traditional quiet time for business, Mrs Whitmore said the festival was a way to keep people motivated.

“They will be intimate groups with 18 per group teaching women the techniques and tools to use in business,” she said.

“It’s about women supporting women and keeping people motivated during winter.

“It’s a good idea for women to stop and connect and do something for yourself.”

The Winter Creative Festival starts on Tuesday July 3 and is presented by businesswomen from the Rockingham region.

The aim is to create a safe environment for collaboration, inspiration and encouragement.

Workshops, events and roundtable discussions are held at the Kent Street Deli event space.

Some of the programs on offer include writing workshops, blogging and Instagram workshops, business 101 for those looking to start up their own business.

New to the festival will be a reprieve for mums with the addition of workshops for children and teenagers.

There is even a full-day retreat by local Yoga Studio Soul Coast Yoga giving attendees a whole day to reset for the rest of the year.

Some workshops are free.
