COLD Chisel and Barnesy fans of Rockingham will get a chance to meet iconic rocker, Jimmy Barnes with the launch of part two of his life’s memoirs, Working Class Man at Rockingham Centre this weekend.
Rockingham Books is hosting his appearance Saturday afternoon and if you decide to pick up a copy of his new book you can get it signed by the man himself.
The book is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed best seller Working Class Boy and picks up the story of his life as he leaves Adelaide in the back of an old truck with a then unknown band called Cold Chisel.
It is an intriguing and honest reflection on success, fame and addiction.
This memoir shows how Barnes used the raw emotion from his childhood experiences through his music resulting in one of Australia’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll stories.
It shows the destructive nature of the merry-go-round of fame, drugs and rehab through his time with Cold Chisel and an extensive solo career, but through all of that it shows how it’s never too late to try and put things right.
