Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

YOU could help solve the world’s biggest puzzle.

Koorliny Arts Centre has accepted the challenge of building the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle and wants the community to be part of the process.

Currently the world’s largest commercial puzzle in size and quantity of pieces, Memorable Disney Moments has 40,320 pieces and will measure nearly 7m wide and 2m tall upon completion.

Ten smaller puzzles of about 4000 pieces join to make the finished puzzle, which will be mounted and framed.

Members of the public are invited to help build the puzzle at the following times on Wednesdays and Fridays during the school term. Centre manager Kate McIntosh said it was an opportunity to meet new people and engage in a community bonding activity, as well as be challenged by the complexity of the puzzle.

Up to six people can work on the puzzle at a time. The activity is only for those 12 years and over.

If it proves popular, more times and puzzle building areas may be added so more than one section can be worked on at a time.
