Natalie HordovWeekend Kwinana Courier

The Wembley development includes 69 apartments, plus ground-floor retail and commercial space.

Just 19 two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments remain for sale, plus four one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments, and a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, with prices starting from $460,000.

Managing director Mark Hector said interest from local residents had been extremely strong since the complex opened and he was confident the remaining apartments would sell very quickly.

“Strong sales at Urban on Cambridge reflect the high level of interest being shown in and around Wembley,” he said.

“These sales also reinforce that the benefits of apartment living are attractive to many people – providing them with an affordable, low-maintenance lifestyle close to the city.”

Mr Hector said QUBE initially inspected the Cambridge Street site in 2012, at which time it had an old service station, a house and a few strip shops.

He said the location’s great potential was certainly very clear and the need for a quality apartment development in the area was long overdue.

“Many of those who have purchased an apartment at Urban on Cambridge already lived in or around Wembley and appreciated the lively mix of cafes and shops in the area,” he said.

“They were keen to downsize and enjoy more travel and leisure time without compromising on the quality of their home, or its location close to the city and beach.”

Mr Hector said an apartment at Urban on Cambridge provided the best of both worlds.

“Purchasers are able to stay in the area they love while switching to a thoughtfully designed, spacious and beautifully finished contemporary apartment,” he said.

“Feedback from purchasers and potential purchasers highlights the generous proportions of the apartments and balconies, and the high standard of construction and finishes, which set us apart from the competition.”

Urban on Cambridge was also proving popular with a number of investors, first-home buyers and professionals.

“First residents have begun moving into Urban on Cambridge and the complex will be a multi-generational development reflecting how and where many people want to live,” Mr Hector said.

Urban on Cambridge is the largest of QUBE’s residential projects in and around Wembley and Subiaco, where the company has created 183 apartments across six developments.

The new complex is just minutes from Perth’s CBD, and close to a range of services and amenities, including cafes and restaurants, shops, sports clubs, hospital and medical facilities, and pristine beaches.
