AS part of the City of Rockingham Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events, join the City in celebrating the New Year with family and friends at Churchill Park.

The New Year’s Eve Celebration starts from 5pm on Monday, December 31, with live entertainment, free children’s activities, entertainment for all ages and a selection of food vendors.

Live performances by LIVE WIRE, Hit Factory, Abbasalutely and local talent will keep the crowds entertained throughout the evening.

There will also be two spectacular fireworks displays at 9pm and at midnight.

The City’s New Year’s Eve Celebration attracts a great crowd with more than 25,000 community members attending the event each year.

Additional parking for the event will be available at the Village Green and Dixon Road Reserve.

The City has also arranged for Transperth to provide extended services for bus route 555 between the Rockingham train station and Rockingham Beach, to get spectators to and from the event.

The route will be operating on an eight minute frequency between 4 – 6pm and will be extended until 1am, operating on a 15 minute frequency from 9pm.

The works at the Rockingham Beach Foreshore have now ceased for the summer and the foreshore is fully open to the public until Monday, February 18.

Four new ACROD parking bays and two short stay parking bays are available on Rockingham Beach Road.

Bus routes have also returned to Railway Terrace and visitors are encouraged to check out the wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants at the foreshore.

City of Rockingham would like to thank its sponsors Lotterywest, Media Engine, Weekend Courier, AHG Rockingham, Rockingham Mazda and Total Kooling Solutions.
