Big ride to raise money for autism

Brendan Thomson, Brad Adams, Michael Wise and Michael Hook took two days to complete the 260km ride.

Mr Thomson (of Bertram) and his wife Linda have a son, who has been diagnosed with autism.

“So far we have raised about $5000 but the goal is for $10, 000,” Mrs Thomson said.

“It can be very isolating but having these camps to go to it’s like a big family.”

“He can relax and be himself and so can we.”

Camp Autism WA INC is a group that organises and runs camps and day events for children with autism and their families. The activities are designed to appeal to the children’s needs, particularly focusing on sensory activities.
