More than 80 students received gradings in Gosnells after they were put through a gruelling test of patters (poomse), kicking combinations, self-defence, punch defence, sparring and board breaking.
Jessica Dean, Jacob Larkin, Zoe Broomer and Jorden Jovanovic graded to their third dan and Cassandra Hankinson, Ethan Chidlow, Chloe Wild, Tiala Skey and Benjamin Hartmann passed their second dan.
Joining the first black belt dans were Neven Pljevaljcic, Faith Turner, Gabe and Jemima O’Loughlin, Taimana Ranga, Tomasz Malkowski, Jason Buch-anan, Donna Hartmann, Rebecca Winch and Jamie Gaymer.
