The Las Vegas resident and six-time Brazilian Jujitsu World Champion makes the journey to Rockingham twice a year to help train the local talent and embrace the ‘beautiful location’.

Drysdale is working with MMA athletes at The Arena MMA in Rockingham. Along side his training partner and long-term friend Boris Davies, Drysdale is helping to train local fighters aspiring to make it as professionals in the fighting arena.

Drysdale told the Courier that it was challenging travelling away from his wife and daughters; however, MMA was apart of his life and he wouldn’t change a thing.

‘I have been involved in MMA since I was 16, in particular jujitsu, so it has become a part of me,’ he said.

‘The people in Rockingham are always extremely nice and I love the beautiful weather. It’s always blue everywhere.

‘I have a business and a family in Las Vegas. My wife is Australian so she travels back with me but it can be challenging with my little girls.

‘I have been coming to Rockingham for the past five years and I enjoy helping the guys out with their training.

‘My trips are not about myself; I come here to help others and take some time to rest.’

He returns to America next week.
