Isla Dunne and Haidar Ghozali have been selected to play in the State Under 12 girls and boys soccer teams, while Claire Jacobs will play basketball for WA as part of the State Schoolgirls Basketball U12s tournament.

All three of the Year 7 students have been playing their chosen sport for four years.

Isla said the State competition would involve four scratch matches, which she and Haidar would travel to Brisbane for on September 14. Both students said their love for the game was born out of a love of running around.
