Football: Rockingham Rams girls’ team well organised for inaugural kick-off

It has appointed Glen Miller as coach, Andrew Walsh as assistant coach and Rebecca Dal Bello as team manager. Club president Michael Holland said Brand MP Madeleine King will sponsor the team for three years.

“The girls can’t wait for the season to kick off,” Holland said.

“They will play on Friday evenings and I would encourage anyone interested to come down.”

Meanwhile, the Rams’ league side got off to a great start to the season after defeating reigning premiers Baldivis by six points.

Kyle Hinchcliffe and Luke Dowling kicked three goals each, best players included Fraser Millar, Nick Gooderson and Luke Dowling.

Rookie 17-year-olds Jack Norman, Zayne Selkirk and Daniel Rowe were also outstanding.
