TEENS in Rockingham are invited to take part in a free sports program, offering a variety of sports from Aussie Rules to cricket for young people aged 10 to 18 years.

Known as the Nightfields, the six-week program will kick off at Warnbro Oval on Swallowtail Parade each Thursday from today.

The sessions will start at 3.30pm.

One spot remains open for an extra sporting code to get involved with Nightfields.

Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged any local sporting groups or coaches to come forward.

“Not only do participants get the chance to boost their fitness in a family-friendly environment, they will also have the chance to experience playing new sports and form new friendships,” he said.
