Gardiner in line for senior debut. Cricket

KYLE Gardiner could make his debut at senior level for Western Australia after being named in the Warriors’ second XI to take on Victoria next week.

The teenaged leg spinner was today named in the 12-man Futures League squad to play the Bushrangers at the WACA Ground, starting on Monday.

Gardiner (19) earned a rookie contract with the Warriors this season after a string of impressive performances in grade cricket for Rockingham-Mandurah.

After gaining his rookie deal, Gardiner told the Courier his aim for the coming season was to play Futures League cricket, and if selected will be one-step closer to realising his dream of playing Sheffield Shield cricket for WA.
