Ocean dash is back

Staff ReporterWeekend Kwinana Courier

The annual event attracts ocean swimmers from around WA, pitting them against local hopefuls in the 1600m race with anyone older than 13 able to enter.

The mad ocean dash starts at the jetty near the Cruising Yacht Club before heading east parallel to the coast around buoys and back towards the jetty.

The event faced an uncertain future in recent years with low participation numbers but about 100 people took part last year.
