Another young Peel member performing well is Matthew Connan who last weekend won the under-15 men’s time trial, road race and overall title in the National Junior Mountain Climb Championships in Victoria.

While the Peel District Cycling Club did not run a race last Sunday, there was a lot to keep members busy, with the regular social rides, the three and five dams rides, the State 160km time trial championships in Pinjarra and the West Coast Masters criterium at Smeaton Way in Rockingham.

In E grade, Gerry Allen was first in a bunch sprint, followed by Graham Thornton second and Edward Rose third.
