Pensioners rate Mondays

Mad Mondays was launched a few weeks ago and the club’s head professional Alan Reynolds said already player numbers were rising.

‘We want to get pensioners involved in golf and down here on Mondays so we offer them a discount on a round of golf,’ he said.

Reynolds said the club wanted more people enjoying the popular pastime and to encourage pensioners to stay active.

He said the popularity of golf seemed to be increasing on the back of the success of players such as Adam Scott and Jason Day putting Australia back on the international golfing scene.

The club is open from 5.30am to 6pm on Mondays with unlimited golf for players with their own gear after 3pm.
