Port Kennedy girl to compete in BMX world chamionships

AT just six years of age, Savannah Robertson has qualified for the BMX World Championships in Belgium.

She is part of the team at Southern Districts BMX raceway in Kwinana and was the only six-year-old to represent WA in Melbourne on May 23.

The Port Kennedy resident plans to join the Australian team in Belgium from July 23 to 28.

“I started racing BMX last year when I turned five even though I came off my training wheels a few months earlier and I’ll never turn back. I love to race with other kids and compete to win trophies,” Savannah said.

“I was beyond happy to hear the news (of being selected) because I love racing.”
