THE Rockingham Bowling Club held an Opening Day on September 2 to celebrate the beginning of the 2017 to 2018 bowls season.

About 50 players and guests joined in a novelty event organised by club captains Cheryl Simpson and Frank McKendry.

Players were challenged to play left-handed, playing in positions they were not used to and using their opponents’ bowls instead of their own.
