SAFETY Bay Yacht Club commodore Dion Alston lost count of the number of times he capsized during blustery conditions last weekend.

Alston was one of five Windrush catamaran sailors and lone Laser sailor Paul Rowley who battled 20-knot gusts in the bay.

Second in the capsize stakes was Simon Ellis with four, followed by Lenny Holbrooke with one.
