Sharks in hunt for finals berth

Rockingham dominated the first half in the weekend match but could not hold off a storming comeback from North Beach Sea Eagles in the 34-30 loss.

Rockingham led 24-8 at half-time at the Lark Hill clash, but North Beach responded impressively in the second half and held off a late charge from the home team.

North Beach hit the lead at the 68-minute mark and took it out to 10 points with three minutes left before Rockingham converted a try to pull the lead back to four points but it was too little too late.

Rockingham Jamie Papa said they did not give the Eagles the respect they should have in the second half. Kieran Tarrant and Craig Phillis were best on ground for North Beach, while Josh Simm, Vincent Silulu and Keelyn Tutua-Edwards starred for the sharks.
