Swimming WA’s Open Water Series comes to Rockingham

SWIMMING WA’s Open Water Series is on the Rockingham foreshore on Sunday, December 9.

It is the 11th year of the popular series, which runs from November through to March and attracts more than 6000 novice and competitive swimmers competing in 12 rounds.

The Rockingham event kicks off at 9am with more than 500 swimmers expected to participate.

The Summer Series kicked off at Leighton Beach on November 3 with 676 swimmers taking part. Round two was in Busselton and Round three in Coogee.

With four distances on offer (500m, 1.25km, 2.5km and 5km), round four will cater to swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Check-in is open at 8am on the day for a 9am start. The 5km event starts at 9.30am.
