Wandi siblings selected for rugby comp in NSW

RIKI (11) and Erika (10) Hira have been selected in an under 12 rugby team to travel to NSW to represent Beast Rugby Academy.

The tournament is the largest under 12 rugby competition in the southern hemisphere and is attended by more than 50 schools.

The siblings from Wandi received $175 each from the City of Kwinana to help cover costs.

They have been playing together for three years and have been playing rugby since they were six years old.

Erika is the first girl to ever trial and be selected for the tournament.

She attends Aubin Grove Primary School, while Riki attends Atwell College.

Erika and Riki leave for NSW on April 11.
