Young champions beat the odds

The impressive pair won awards in the Community Newspaper Group HBF Junior Sports Heroes competition announ-ced on February 19.

About 120 children, parents and supporters attended an awards ceremony hosted by Community Newspaper Group editor-in-chief Greg Thomson.

Each winner received a glass trophy and $1000, with runners-up taking home $500 and a HBF teddy bear.
