GYULA Plaganyi, author of Dancing with Sharks and one of WA’s last abalone divers to operate without a shark cage, will join AQWA for its adults only event Beer, Bites and Shark Encounters in celebration of Shark Month.

On Saturday, July 15, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, Mr Plaganyi will share first-hand accounts of encounters with great whites as well as personal insights and advice about shark behaviour learnt from his years of diving.

“I’d rather swim with a shark than try and catch a big spider,” Mr Plaganyi said.
