A CROWD of about 5000 enjoyed the performance at Penistone Park, Greenwood, on Saturday night of Boom!Bap!Pow! and The Darling Buds of May.
Both bands proved popular with the audience with their mix of ‘rock ‘n’ soul’ and ‘swing and blues’ and the artists themselves had a great time on stage in front of an appreciative local crowd.
“We had a fantastic time playing the City of Joondalup Music in the Park concert at the weekend,” Boom!Bap!Pow said.
“It was a pleasure to be involved at such a well organised and attended event.
“Thanks to all involved.”
Many residents arrived in the early evening in order to get the best viewing position. Some enjoyed a picnic, while the children took advantage of kids’ activities on offer.
As the sun began to set, the music kicked in.
Grace Barbe and Soukouss Internationale will close out the 2016-17 Music in the Park series on Saturday, March 11, at Mawson Park, Hillarys.
In past years, the picturesque Hillarys venue often attracted the biggest crowds of the season.
