PLANS are afoot to establish a dog exercise park in Banksia Grove.

The City of Wanneroo is running a survey on the proposal at Delamare Park until June 6, with the facility to have separate small and large dog exercise areas.

The City chose the Nambi Parkway site for its accessibility, existing open space and because it did not need to clear existing conservation vegetation.

A concept plan for the Banksia Grove dog exercise area.

The concept plan includes agility equipment such as hurdles, hoops, a bridge and balance beam, as well as a drinking fountain, picnic table, seats, bins and fencing.

There will be a meeting for residents at the park from 5pm on Wednesday, May 23.
