WHITFORDS Brewing Company took on race day glamour on Tuesday for its maiden Melbourne Cup event.

The event was led by designer Jessica Bratich-Johnson, with a special appearance from fashion illustrator Michelle Pike.

Partygoers were in the race day spirit on the top and bottom floors of the venue as Irish horse Rekindling claimed the $3.6 million prize for 2017.

Punters also enjoyed ‘a day on the green’ watching the race live on screen at Joondalup Resort on Tuesday.

DJ Almost Midnight entertained guests in the Lakeview Ballroom during the three-course meal.
