Landsdale car wash does not need sound barrier: DAP

Laura PondJoondalup Times

THE North-West Metropolitan Development Assessment Panel has approved changes to a Landsdale development.

Applicant Rowe Group, on behalf of owner Landsdale Central, had sought amendments to the application for a convenience store, lunch bar and car wash on Mullingar Way.

It requested the removal of a condition requiring construction of a 1.8m high noise barrier because revised noise modelling found the car wash would be compliant with the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997.

It also sought modification of a condition ensuring compliance with the regulations to be based on the more recent environmental acoustic assessment.
