A PILBARA couple have moved their boxing club to Burns Beach and will launch it this weekend.

Mick and Claire Hale’s PEAK 1 Boxing Club had been coaching and competing in amateur boxing in Wickham, in the North West Pilbara Region since 2012.

Mrs Hale said the club’s boxers held North West, State and national titles, making it “one of the smallest but most successful boxing clubs in the state”.

She said the relocation allowed them to bring their training methods to Perth for people who wanted to train for fitness or competition.

They will launch the club from 10.30am on Saturday, March 10 at the Jack Kikeros Community Hall, Ocean Parade, Burns Beach.

“Meet the coaches, come and try the pads, with healthy snacks and fun for the kids,” Mrs Hale said.

“You can also book in for your first training session.”
