Wanneroo Road closure planned for widening works

Staff WriterJoondalup Times

WANNEROO Road will close in Carramar and Neerabup this week as part of a road-widening project.

Main Roads WA has issued advice to motorists that it will close the road between Joondalup Drive and Flynn Drive from 7pm on Thursday, June 28 to 5am on Friday, June 29.

The closure will allow work such as line-marking and barrier relocation for the new alignment of Wanneroo Road, and the main detour will be via the Mitchell Freeway.

Main Roads also advised that the road closure and traffic diversion at the Golf Links Drive junction was likely to remain in place until the first week of July, unless weather affects the timing of upgrade works.

Construction on the $31 million project is expected to finish in October.
