Young couple achieves home ownership dream in Kinross

Staff writerJoondalup Times

IT’S the millennial dream to live in the moment, travel the world and delay settling down, but Emily and Tim Zsilinszky are happily bucking the trend.

The 25-year-olds put their noses to the grindstone to realise their home ownership dream, with Tim working as an electrician at different sites around Perth while Emily juggled three jobs.

They recently leapt at the chance to buy a block – sight unseen – in Perth’s north.

“We made the decision to set up our lives early rather than travel the world at an early age,” Mrs Zsilinszky said.

“And we’ve also moved in with my dad in Neerabup to save a bit of money while we build.”

When a limited release of infill lots became available at Kinross, the couple didn’t hesitate.

“We had been on the lookout for land to buy, but as the majority of new developments are so far north we never thought we’d find the right spot,” Mrs Zsilinszky said.

“Once we heard about land in Kinross, we purchased without even looking at it because we knew it was exactly what we wanted.

“It’s so close to the beach but not too far north.

“It’s in such a good location with great schools, shops, parks, transport options and everything is already established.

“Tim moves around for work, so Kinross was a great location for both of us.

“It’s far enough away from the busy city but close enough that we have everything within reach and really, in good traffic, everything is only half an hour away.”

The couple is building a four-bedroom, two-|bathroom family home and hopes to be settled by the end of next year.

Peet will launch a new land release at Kinross comprising 10 infill lots on Saturday, September 22.

They range from 315sq m to 489sq m and start at $260,000.
