The Million Dollar Makeovers (MDM) founder started plans for The Renovation Company last October.

‘It came about because I realised everyone wanted to renovate and extend but with Million Dollar Makeover, people felt it was unattainable for them,’ Ms deBretton said.

‘I wanted to take a successful concept of fast, quality renovation and give it a new name.’

While MDM, located in Claremont, caters for changes worth more than $500,000, The Renovation Company will deal with smaller cosmetic renovations under three categories ” kitchen, bathroom and laundry remodelling, whole home renovations and kerb appeal landscaping.

The six-week period for finishing the work remains with the new company that will allow individual business owners, such as interior designers, to run their own show within The Renovation Company.

The Mosman Park resident has recently completed a backyard makeover at her own home.

‘For some people, their home looks overgrown and lifeless,’ Ms deBretton said.

‘We want to give it an instant facelift with roll on lawn, redoing the driveway, and some simple modern plants.’
