SHOP LOCAL: Bentley gearing up for Polo in the Valley, centenary

Denise S. CahillWestern Suburbs Weekly

Bentley Perth sales manager James Hammond and marketing manager Madi Kyle are gearing up for the 10th Bentley Polo in the Valley, the same year Bentley Motors celebrates its centenary.

1. Why does Bentley Perth continue to support Polo in the Valley?

Bentley Polo in the Valley is a great opportunity for us to engage with our community and give back to two fantastic WA charities. We thoroughly enjoy working with the Prendiville Group, who produce this superb event. There is great synergy between Bentley and Polo; the event provides a platform to showcase the Bentley range. We launched The Bentley Bentayga SUV at the event three years ago and this year we will see for the first time the new Bentley GT Convertible. In a milestone year for all parties, we celebrate the 10th anniversary for the event, the 25th anniversary for Youth Focus and 100 years of extraordinary cars for Bentley Motors.

2. Why is it important for businesses to support charity events such as Polo in the Valley?

We at Bentley Perth are strong believers that a business should give back where it can. In addition to the funds raised, we also value the opportunity to raise awareness of the work these charities do within our community. Youth suicide and mental health is an increasingly prevalent issue, so it is crucial that we all do what we can to support prevention initiatives and counselling services.

3. How has Bentley Perth survived the peaks and troughs of the Perth economy over the years?

It’s an old saying; we look after our clients and they will look after our business. We have a very loyal base of owners who are passionate about Bentley and continue to support us through economic cycles.

4. Why do consumers come to Bentley Perth?

We pride ourselves on providing a very bespoke and personalised service. We have a stable team who have built long-term relationships with our Bentley owners. The Bentley brand has a fantastic reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and class-leading performance.

5. What’s your local coffee shop?

Boubar is a stand-out. Great coffee and service.
