Fashion Council WA chairman Richard Poulson, who also co-founded Morrison, says the success of the council is a group effort.

1. What’s been your biggest achievement since joining Fashion Council WA in 2013?

I took over as chairman in 2018 but have been on the board in various capacity for five years. Biggest achievement is really a group effort but I would say establishing a peak body that is financially sustainable, culturally vibrant, relevant to the industry and that provides economic outcomes for its members and sponsors.

2. How has the fashion industry changed since then?

Like many industries, it has been through peaks and troughs but we are seeing green shoots popping up through innovation and sheer hard work.

3. How have you, as the founder of Morrison, got through the challenging economic times?

We have stayed true to our customer, continued to build relationships with our landlords and trimmed as many non-essentials as possible.

4. What’s your favourite PFF memory over the past 20 years?

Celebrating the successes of our participants.

5. What is your local coffee shop?

Outong & Lincoln in South Fremantle.
